Results are editable where they sit — change a cell, insert a row, filter a column, page through the set. Every result carries its schema and its DDL alongside the data, so you can read how a table is defined without leaving the rows it returned.

Read the engine while it is running.

Attachments, active statements, ODS version, dialect, page size, sweep interval and the OIT/OAT/OST gap, straight out of the MON$ tables. The dashboard keeps a live count of transactions per second and shows which statements are running now, which is usually the question you actually have.

Keep a profile per server, colour-tagged, so a production attachment never looks like a scratch one. Tabs hold several open at a time, and each remembers the database it belongs to.

Encrypted databases, on whichever driver you keep.

Supply a key at connect time, or require encryption and have the connection refuse anything unencrypted. Attach over the pure-Rust wire protocol with nothing installed, or point at a native fbclient — and if you do not have one, Plamenix fetches the official build for your platform.

Export formats, cell renderers, the SQL formatter and the dashboard sections are all plugins — twenty-one of them ship in the box, across twenty extension points. Plugins are WebAssembly components that declare the capabilities they need, so one gets what its manifest asked for and nothing more.
